Day 1: Arrive into Marrakech
Upon arrival our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the start of your trip.

Day 2: Marrakech City tour
Today's tour of Marrakech begins with a trip to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, home to the minaret which has become a symbol of the city. We then visit the Mausoleum and Bahia Palace which both host intricate and beautiful Arabic craftsmanship. In the afternoon we head to the lively souks around Jemaa El Fna square. Home to many different types of traders these bustling and aromatic streets are uniquely Moroccan. Today's tour ends at the lively Djemaa El Fna Square.

Day 3: Marrakech. Drive to Ait Benhaddou then Ouarzazate
After breakfast this morning we drive to Morocco's most well known Kasbah at the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. In the afternoon we travel through local Berber villages as we cross the Tizi N'tichka col which at 2260m is the highest pass in Northern Africa. Later on we arrive into Ouarzazate or 'place of no noise'. An incredibly dramatic landscape, this area has played host to countless well known films.

Day 4: Ouarzazate. Drive to Boumalne de Dades then on to Tinghir
Departing this morning along the road of a thousand Kasbahs we arrive into Boulmane from where we visit the impressive Dades Canyon offering great views of the surrounding Atlas mountains. We then continue our drive on to the oasis town of Tinghir and include a visit to the nearby Todra gorge.

Day 5: Drive to Erfoud. 4WD desert trip and camp in Merzouga
This morning sees us drive to Erfoud. Lodged in an idyllic setting between the Atlas mountains to the north and the Sahara desert to the south Erfoud is the administrative capital of the region. From here we make the short trip to Rissani and the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty – Morocco's current royal family. We then transfer into 4WD vehicles and travel through the dunes to Merzouga where we will watch the sunset over the desert before sleeping under the stars in a traditional Berber camp.

Day 6: Merzouga. Drive to Fez
Our journey through the Moroccan landscape continues today as we drive on to Fez, following ancient caravan routes and passing through Midelt and the Ziz Valley.

Day 7: Fez. City tour
Over 1200 years old, the city of Fez is a labyrinth of souks, mosques and spice filled streets. We delve into the fascinating history of the city with a full tour encompassing the Moulay Idrss mausoleum, Nejjarine fountain and the Bou Anania Medersa. We also spend time confusing our senses in the cacophony of noise surrounding the heady alleyways of Medieval Medina, home to tanneries, carpet shops and local restaurants before heading to Fez Jdid to explore the cities many varied souks.

Day 8: Fez. Drive to Meknes via Volubilis
We leave Fez this morning for the short drive to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Recently listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and dating back as far as AD40 Volubilis is home to some of the most impressive Roman ruins in North Africa. We then head to the Berber town of Meknes. Formerly the capital of Morocco during the reign of Moulay Ismail, he transformed the town, constructing intricate gateways, beautiful gardens and at 40m the largest ramparts in the country.

Day 9:Meknes. Drive to Rabat. City tour
After breakfast we depart Meknes and travel on to the Moroccan capital of Rabat. Strategically located on the Atlantic coastline, Rabat began as a settlement in the third century BC. Here we enjoy a full tour of the city including visits to the Royal Palace, Ouadaya Garden & Kasbah and the Hassan Tower Mosque.

Day 10: Rabat. Drive to Casablanca. City tour
Today our Moroccan adventure heads to the well known city of Casablanca. Thanks to Humphrey Bogart Casablanca has maintained its status as an enduring romantic location although today the city is regarded as the economic capital of Morocco. Still an incredibly charming city, we enjoy a full tour taking in the Royal Palace, Central Market, Mohammed V square and of course the impressive Hassan II Mosque – able to host 25,000 worshippers and home to the world's tallest minaret.

Day 11: Casablanca. Drive to El Jadida
This morning we head along the coast to the port of El Jadida. A fine example of both European and North African culture and architecture, El Jadida was abandoned by the Portuguese in 1769 after over two hundred years rule leaving behind them an impressive citadel and huge fortified walls.

Day 12: El Jadida to Essaouira
After breakfast in El Jadida, we stay on the coastline and head to the small resort town of Oualidia where we visit the local blue lagoon before travelling south to Essaouira passing through Safi.

Day 13: Essaouira. Free time
Well regarded as one of Morocco's most beautiful areas, Essaouira has always attracted and inspired artists, drawn by its good light and tranquil, relaxed way of life. Wandering around the old Medina and its fascinating streets dotted with art galleries it's not hard to imagine why the city drew visitors such as Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix throughout the years.

Day 14: Essaouira. Drive to Marrakech
We leave Essaouira this morning for the drive back to Marrakech. Upon arrival the rest of the day is free.

This is an exciting excursion by 4x4 to the south of Agadir, a day to see the pre-Saharan areas of Morocco. Guests will discover Youssef Ben Tachefine dam where they will be able to take some wonderful photos of this magnificent dam that provide most of Agadir's water, the sand dunes of Resmouka which dominate the landscape. a walk along the river Massa before taking the track along by the Atlantic Ocean, stopping on the superb beach of Sidi Rbat then back to Agadir. |
